Supply Chain Director Role

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for leading a team of supply chain resources, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:\

  • Align the team with the global supply chain vision and strategy.\
  • Closely collaborate with strategic sourcing and supply chain management colleagues globally.\
  • Develop and implement standardized approaches to synchronize best practices within the global supply chain.\
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of project procurement managers, buyers, and post-order support management teams.\
  • Apply personnel management skills to build team and individual skills, enhancing job satisfaction.\
  • Manage conflict resolution through partnerships with HR, in line with company policies.\
  • Monitor and enhance overall supply chain processes and work procedures.\
  • Understand and align regional market conditions to optimize business strategies.\
  • Collaborate with other discipline department leaders to share knowledge and improve working processes.\
  • Support the development of project procurement strategies during proposal phases.\
  • Prepare resource planning for demand during proposal phases and ensure readiness for execution.\
  • Maintain a healthy pool of third-party agencies to support outsourcing resources for the supply chain team.\
  • Analyze and share lessons learned with global supply chain colleagues to develop and implement best practices.\
  • Monitor and support the development of regional suppliers, in line with global strategies.\
  • Adhere to financial, procurement, confidentiality, and risk management policies.\
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business (master's preferred).\
  • Minimum 10 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.\
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with at least 5 years of people management experience.\
  • Proven skills in sourcing, market analysis, negotiation, and contractual formulation.\
  • Strong time management and problem-solving capabilities.\
  • Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\
  • Director-level position requiring full-time employment.\
  • Management and manufacturing expertise, focusing on shipbuilding industries.\
  • Absorbing environment emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
