As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities to ensure the company's buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment operate reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment.
- Direct the activities of the maintenance department, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities and ensure that production schedules are met.
- Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure that team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Interface with other departments to ensure that customer deadlines are met and that all stakeholders are informed of progress and any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including time and materials used.
- Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
- Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials as needed.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a position of leadership or management.
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing people and projects.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, 10+ years of experience working in a position of leadership or management, and 6 years of experience managing people and projects.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
- Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with immediate team and peers.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in collaborative group environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
