Our organization seeks a Data Platform Engineer to design, implement and maintain scalable data infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
The engineer will be responsible for managing internal tools and frameworks for data ingestion and processing. This includes implementing automated CI/CD pipelines for platform components and infrastructure-as-code.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance, reliability and scalability of the data platform. This involves supporting version control, release workflows and automation for notebooks, jobs and tools used by data producers and consumers.
Key objectives include ensuring high availability and performance of core data infrastructure through observability and alerting integrations. The engineer will guarantee data quality, lineage and governance using tools such as dbt and Data Catalogs.
The successful candidate will implement robust monitoring and observability practices for data pipelines and workflows. Additionally, they will act as a technical leader and mentor, supporting other engineers in developing solutions and promoting DataOps best practices.
Lastly, the Data Platform Engineer will contribute to the definition of data architectures, strategies across the organization and design patterns.
