Are you a seasoned data leader with experience in architecting and optimizing distributed systems at scale?

We're looking for a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing resilient data pipelines, ensuring our quant models and LLMs run seamlessly in production, and building the backend services that power autonomous investment agents.

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be hands-on, collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our performance and scalability requirements. You'll also have the opportunity to shape our product vision, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in CI/CD, observability, and system reliability.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing real-time data pipelines with low-latency and fault tolerance
  • Architecting backend services powering agent orchestration, portfolio optimization, and execution
  • Optimizing performance and cost efficiency across distributed systems running at scale
  • Collaborating with quant researchers and AI/LLM engineers to deploy trading algos and integrate them into the platform
  • Working closely with smart contract engineers to ensure vault and execution layers are tightly integrated with backend systems
  • Defining best practices in CI/CD, observability, and system reliability
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in backend and data engineering
  • Strong experience in distributed data processing (e.g., Flink, Kafka, Spark) and real-time streaming systems
  • Proven track record of building and scaling microservice architectures (Python/FastAPI, Go, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling for high-throughput environments
  • Experience deploying and monitoring ML/quant models in production
  • Comfort working in high-ambiguity startup environments and making architectural bets
