**Linux Application Support Engineer Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Application Engineer focused on Design Engineering Applications to join our IT team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining EDA Tools and HPC job scheduler, as well as collaborating with the EDA team.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Install, configure, and maintain EDA tools, HPC job scheduler, and license servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EDA Tool installation, license servers, and HPC job scheduler.
  • Ensure timely resolution of high severity incidents, including communications, reporting, and tracking of follow-ups.
  • Monitor system performance and identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation on system configurations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the EDA team to ensure seamless integration of EDA tools and Linux infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical support to internal customers of EDA Tools and HPC job scheduler.
  • Keep up to date with innovative technologies and best practices related to EDA Tool installation and configuration.
**Requirements:**
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Linux Admin Professional Certification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and servers.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 & 8 and Rocky 8.
  • Experience with FlexLM license servers.
  • Experience with a HPC job scheduler such as LSF, SGE, UGE, PBS Works, or Altair Accelerator.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with EDA Tools such as Cadence, Siemens (Mentor Graphics), and Synopsys.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with customers and provide technical assistance.
  • Ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
