Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, services, and equipment following established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate contracts and discounts with suppliers for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Evaluate supplier qualifications and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
  • Provide accurate lead time and cost information to support sales proposals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with capital expenditure policies and coding.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on invoice and receiving discrepancies.
  • Prepare company purchase orders.
  • Assist in resolving shipment and inventory receipt discrepancies or problems.
  • Review and code inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Optimize work performance by utilizing Oracle system effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing is required.
  • A relevant AA degree is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9100 is mandatory, while AS9100D Quality Management Systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP, Excel spreadsheets, and Word is expected.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP EBS computer system is necessary.
  • Demonstrated cost savings history and understanding of LEAN inventory management strategies are desired.
  • Accounting and financial knowledge (Cost of Sales, Fixed assets, Invoicing, Purchasing) is required.
  • Inventory tracking and control expertise (Physical inventories, Fixed assets, Min-Max) is necessary.
