Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical survey expertise and assisting Project Managers in achieving safe and profitable project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Assist in managing the complete lifecycle of projects, from award phase to closeout, ensuring quality results and adherence to company standards.
- Risk Assessment: Contribute to project risk assessments prior to mobilization, identifying and mitigating potential technical, commercial, and QHSE risks.
- Contract Management: Confirm and accept transfer of project material generated during the bid stage, including contract requirements, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
- Project Execution: Assist in project execution, identifying and documenting contractual variations, and administering specific project tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines within the company to ensure high-quality technical content for commercial and project support.
- Reporting and Quality Control: Compile project-specific survey procedures, provide technical support to offshore teams, and QC and issue final reports in line with agreed timescales.
- Financial Management: Monitor project costs against revenue on a daily basis, providing weekly and monthly tracking reports, and liaising with the Cost Controller to ensure timely and accurate tracking of financials.
- Procurement: Create and approve supplier Purchase Orders and invoices within the timeframe required for the accounting department to process and report.
- Communication: Support project briefings and close-out review meetings with field staff, promoting the company's MTCS program and UTEC IMS.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience: Offshore survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and/or Party Chief required.
- Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and precision, and ability to present project materials professionally.
- Personal Qualities: Team-oriented, positive attitude, and ability to work well with others.
- Travel Requirements: Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the company routinely operates.
