About the Role:

Genpact is seeking a strong Automation Engineer for one of our clients in the USA. If you are interested, please share your profile.

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to optimize production and operational efficiency.

You will be responsible for creating detailed design specifications, diagrams, and documentation for automation systems, writing, testing, and maintaining code for automated systems, and integrating control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop automated systems for manufacturing, production, and other operational processes.
  2. Create detailed design specifications, diagrams, and documentation for automation systems.
  3. Write, test, and maintain code for automated systems using programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
  4. Develop and integrate control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
  5. Integrate automated systems with existing infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.
  6. Ensure seamless communication and data exchange between automated systems and other enterprise systems.
  7. Conduct thorough testing and validation of automated systems to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
  8. Identify and resolve issues, bugs, and inefficiencies in automation processes.
  9. Provide ongoing maintenance and support for automated systems to ensure their continuous operation.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and implement improvements as needed.
  11. Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  12. Implement automation solutions that reduce operational costs, enhance productivity, and improve quality.
  13. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated systems, including user manuals and technical guides.
  14. Train and support end-users and technical staff on the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
  15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, IT, and quality assurance, to develop and implement automation solutions.
  16. Communicate project status, challenges, and results to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  17. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies and best practices.
  18. Participate in training, certification programs, and professional development activities to enhance automation skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:

We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field, and 6-8 years of experience in automation engineering or a related role.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java, experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems, knowledge of robotics, control systems, and industrial automation technologies, and familiarity with automation frameworks and tools are required.

Preferred qualifications include certifications in relevant automation tools and technologies, experience with cloud-based automation solutions and IoT technologies, knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices in automation, and certification in automation engineering or related fields.
