Accounting and Financial Expertise

The role of the Finance Accountant is to oversee financial transactions, compile financial reports, and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations. This position requires maintaining accurate financial records and providing strategic insights to support informed decision-making within the organization.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts in accordance with established accounting standards.

  • Verifying bank statements and ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Analyzing financial information to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable functions.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

  • Supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Preparing and filing tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Maintaining a fixed asset register and performing periodic asset verifications.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Intermediate CA qualification is a must.

  • 4-6 years' experience as an accountant or in a similar role.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience with financial consolidation and intercompany accounting.

  • Knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
