We are seeking a seasoned technical professional to join our team as a Technical Ambassador for Open Source Development. This role involves engaging directly with open source communities and developer-centric organizations, fostering innovation and collaboration.\
\
As a key member of our team, you will combine practical engineering skills with firm diplomacy to communicate our vision and products for better open source development experiences.\
\
You will be responsible for maintaining conversations with developer community members, working with colleagues in other teams to establish commonality and consistent approaches, and identifying new opportunities for improvement in the developer experience we provide.\
\
The ideal candidate has a demonstrable passion for and engagement in open-source software, practical hands-on experience of Linux software packaging, and understands current software packing issues and trends in the Linux ecosystem.\
\
If you have a strong background in programming, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of collaborating effectively in diverse contexts, we encourage you to apply.\

Required Skills and Qualifications\
\
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:\
\
• Strong programming skills and experience with real-world challenges developing and deploying software using Linux.\
• Practical hands-on experience of Linux software packaging, including Snaps, debs, charms, rocks, PIP, containers.\
• Understanding of current software packing issues and trends in the Linux ecosystem.\
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.\
