Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Security Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers in protecting the open-source ecosystem and driving innovation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in addressing emerging threats, developing robust security measures, and ensuring the continued integrity of our ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers to develop and implement effective security strategies
  • Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation and risk management
  • Drive the development of new security engineering projects and initiatives
  • Work with upstream open source projects on vulnerability lifecycle handling and mitigation
  • Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to team members
  • Identify and measure team health indicators and implement data-driven decision-making
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes and ensure timely, high-quality results
  • Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
Requirements:
  • A strong academic background and undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working in an agile development environment
  • Drive, a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations, and a demonstrated drive for continual learning
  • Professional manner interacting with colleagues, partners, and community
  • Solid background in software development, including expertise in support and maintenance
  • Mastery in any programming language and knowledge of software and application security best practices
  • Solid experience working in an agile development environment and ability to build trust, relationships, and confidence
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
