Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our Housekeeping and Laundry operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management

Ensure that our inventory levels of linen, uniforms, and other essential items are maintained at optimal levels, and that requisitions are approved in a timely manner.

Supply Chain Management

Develop and maintain relationships with our suppliers and contractors to ensure that we receive the best possible service and value for money.

Pest Control and HACCP

Oversee the Pest Control service and work closely with our Stewarding Manager and Chief Engineer to establish and implement Pest Control schedules.

Quality Assurance

Implement and monitor housekeeping-related HACCP procedures to ensure that our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.

Sustainability and Cost Control

Work with our sustainability team to develop and implement initiatives to reduce our environmental impact, and monitor and control costs to ensure that we are operating efficiently.

Linen and Uniform Management

Ensure that all linen and uniform management procedures are respected, and that our inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.

Lost and Found and Guest Services

Supervise and control the Lost and Found process, maintain records, and mail packages to clients as required.

Reporting and Analysis

Review and analyze Night Audit reports related to Housekeeping, and provide insights and recommendations to improve our operations.

Security and Compliance

Ensure that all room keys and section keys are strictly controlled, and that our security procedures are followed at all times.

Quality Control and Assurance

Implement and follow up on daily checklists to ensure that our high standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained.

Forecasting and Planning

Prepare forecasts and statistics to inform our operational planning and decision-making.

Communication and Collaboration

Share daily activity highlights with our Director of Rooms, including internal and external guest opportunities, and assist with administrative responsibilities and monitoring activities as required.

Requirements

  1. Experience

Minimum 2 years of Housekeeping experience, with leadership experience an asset.

Skills and Qualifications

Able to effectively communicate with guests and have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Self-starter with excellent organization, presentation, customer service, and communication skills. Computer skills including Outlook and basic Word and Excel.
