Trade Finance Professional Role

Job Overview:

In this strategic position, you will play a vital role in advancing sustainable energy solutions for the community. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering power to homes, schools, hospitals, and factories.

  • Act as a center of competence for trade finance instruments portfolio management, providing expert advice and risk mitigation activities during negotiation and after export sales contract is concluded.
  • Drive standardization of parent company guarantees trade finance instruments wordings (standard templates, bank templates, global library) and promote usage of international standards such as URDG, UCP, ISP98.
  • Maintain trade finance instruments portfolio oversight, processing, and adherence to local regulations and relevant customary practices.
  • Release bank guarantee requests as part of the 4-eye principle and receive incoming Bolero messages, checking quality and content.
  • Assign advised export LCs to relevant recipients based on maintained "allocation guidelines" or other sources of information.
  • Maintain bank relationships through monitoring existing or requesting new stand-alone credit lines.
  • Reconcile incoming bank fee invoices and execute timely bank fee payments.
  • Prepare quarterly management reports and statistics over bank performance and guarantee and LC portfolios.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Trade Finance (administration, advisory, consultancy in the area of guarantees and letters of credit).
  • Fluent English (oral and written) and local language proficiency.
  • University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, or other relevant fields.
  • Certification in trade finance instruments would be an advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills and maturity in daily contacts internally and with third parties.
  • Pro-active business attitude, knowledge, and understanding of local rules and regulations and regional market environment.
