Marine Superintendent

We seek a seasoned professional to lead the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining impeccable safety standards and delivering exceptional service to clients.
  • Monitor shipboard drug and alcohol testing, and conduct regular reviews of navigational practices and procedures.
  • Authorise selection process of Senior Officers and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for Cargo/Operations related matters and ensure environmental standards are fully complied with.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to take necessary decisions that ensure constant safe operation and protect the environment.
  • Customer Service: Deliver marine management service to clients, ensuring they benefit from operational performance.
  • Maintenance: Execute duties including maintenance of navigational standards and commercial operations of assigned vessels.
  • Audits: Plan, arrange, and monitor internal and external audits of managed vessels.
  • Training: Conduct Senior Officer Performance Appraisals and play an active role in their personal development and competence management.

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced Marine Superintendent with a strong background in safety management and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with senior ship staff.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
