Ecommerce Technology Lead Role

We are seeking an accomplished Ecommerce Technology Lead to spearhead the development and maintenance of our e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining e-commerce modules
  • Developing and proposing e-commerce solutions based on client requirements
  • Conducting technical analysis of requirements
  • Mentoring subordinate developers
  • Participating in pre-sales activities by demonstrating technical capabilities through POCs
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing business requirements with other team members
  • Creating detailed technical designs
  • Writing clean, modular, robust code to implement desired requirements with minimal supervision
  • Collaborating with QA and Customer Support teams to triage and fix bugs
  • Creating reusable components that can be configured for different projects
  • Writing unit test cases and unit testing code
  • Researching new integration and plug-in capabilities
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Ecommerce System Architecture, Design, Theming, Functionality Enhancements, Configuration
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Strong skills in PHP and e-commerce platforms with emphasis on Object Oriented Programming
  • Strong experience with MYSQL DB
  • Experience working on Agile methodologies
Additional Requirements:
  • Familiarity with user-centered design process and UI / UX integration experience
  • Knowledge to customize e-commerce theme
  • Experience creating modules (payment, shipping, etc.)
  • Experience creating customizable plugins for e-commerce platforms
  • Good understanding of Zend framework preferable
  • Full Stack skills desirable
  • Good understanding of W3C compliant HTML and CSS
  • Good HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON skills & solid programming background in PHP for implementing web technologies
  • Experience hand-coding JavaScript (ES5/ES6) and jQuery
  • Conceptual and implementation knowledge of MVC framework
  • Knowledge and integration experience with server-side communication using Ajax and JSON
  • Willingness to mentor and lead design and development initiatives
  • Ability to guide the team in all technical perspectives
  • Understanding of build tools like web pack, grunt, gulp
  • Exposure to Mirakl or other marketplace platforms is a huge plus
  • Experience in PWA is a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills
