Expert Software Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance, scalable software solutions. As an expert in your field, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complex software systems that meet the needs of our customers.

  • Your primary focus will be on developing MAAS core components and features to make it the #1 bare metal cloud system.
  • You will work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other tools and timely releases.
  • You will contribute to the continuous integration environment, tests, and practices to maintain fast feedback and good test coverage.
  • You will provide technical communication and collaboration with other teams where appropriate.

This role requires strong expertise in software development, particularly in Python and Go. You should have excellent problem-solving skills, a solid track record of professional experience, and a passion for open-source software.

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent software development skills, with a focus on performance at scale, networking, storage, and usability.
  • Strong understanding of Linux server technologies, including Virtualization (KVM), Containers (LXC), etc.
  • Familiarity with network technologies, such as PXE, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, NTP.
  • Experience with Baseboard Management Controllers and Protocols (Redfish, IPMI, AMT).
  • Knowledge of Cloud hosting and infrastructure, as well as large-scale physical server provisioning and automation.
