IT Infrastructure Technician Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Technician to perform technical support, install new equipment, and resolve data center hardware and network infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support to carry out reactive and proactive tasks.
  • Installation Services: Perform installation services for new equipment as required.
  • Data Center Operations: Serve as an IT Infrastructure Technician for diagnosing and resolving data center hardware and network infrastructure issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Record Keeping: Record work performed, document and progress assigned tasks through their various states in the task management system.
Authority and Decision Making
  • The position's duties are varied and complex, utilizing independent judgment.
  • Largely execute their role within established policies and procedures.
  • May have a leading role in projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Electrical; Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Additional Training: Knowledge of Linux, Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, etc.).
  • Experience: Relevant experience working in IT environments; desirable experience in data centers, handling Structured Copper/Fiber Cabling and connectivity testing.
  • Certifications: Certified Data Center Technician Professional, Network Infrastructure Technician.
