Job Title: Senior Functional Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Consultant to join our team at Ball Corporation. As a Senior Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for leading efforts to analyze and define detailed specifications for business systems that map to business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead efforts to elicit future systems requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task and workflow analysis.
  2. Partner with business analysts and respective cross-functional business groups to elicit functional and non-functional requirements.
  3. Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, delivering artifacts as needed.
  4. Identify innovative business solutions that challenge the business on their assumptions of how they will execute their plans.
  5. Define the integration between proposed development projects and existing systems, software, and hardware.
  6. Ensure that systems and application designs adhere to standards and reflect the architecture appropriately.
  7. Collaborate with IT leads and stakeholders to align solutions with the business' tactical and strategic plans.
  8. Research emerging technologies and recommend those that will increase cost-effectiveness and improve flexibility.
  9. Work closely with third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners, and consultants.
  10. Understand existing and anticipated application functionality, including cloud-based offerings.
  11. Assist with user acceptance testing requirements for existing and new application systems and modules.
  12. Partner with key strategic solutions partners for small and large-scale engagements.
  13. Manage the configuration, setup, and maintenance of application-related solutions.
  14. Mentor other analysts on the team by providing guidance and hands-on solving of complex problems.

Requirements:

  1. Advanced/Fluent English is required.
  2. Experience in leadership.
  3. Experience in driving software and technology solutions in large, complex organizations.
  4. Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects to drive business improvements.
  5. Experience in driving process and technology re-engineering using industry practices (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, COBIT, ITIL, CMMi).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience implementing or managing at least one time and attendance system in recent years.
  2. Experience with Infor WFM or Infor Workbrain is a bonus.
  3. Understanding of Mexico national and regional regulatory requirements for time and attendance.
  4. Exposure to or understanding of ADP Streamline Payroll is a bonus.
  5. Business process knowledge preferred (e.g., Plan-to-Produce process).
  6. Expertise in software development methodologies and the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).
  7. Understanding of software quality principles including test methodologies.
