Warehouse Material Handler Job Summary:

The Warehouse Material Handler plays a vital role in the warehouse by moving pallets and materials to support production requirements. This position involves operating material handling equipment, sorting pallets by hand, and repairing damaged wooden pallets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging areas using manual or powered material handling equipment
  • Operate equipment with extreme care, adhering to safety procedures at all times
  • Hand-sort wooden pallets when required
  • Repair wooden pallets using a hammer or nail gun when required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Key Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Material handling certification preferred
  • 1-3 years of material handling experience
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in a labor-intensive environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingsness to work overtime as needed
