Warehouse Assistant Role

Barnes & Noble College seeks a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. As a key member of our Shipping & Receiving department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store is stocked and ready for customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shipping and Receiving: Assist with shipments, orders, and invoices, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely processing.
  • Inventory Management: Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping, maintaining organized stock levels and categorization according to changing criteria.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Sales Transactions: Assist with sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent movement within the store to access various areas.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 16 years.
  • Friendly personality with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
  • Flexible scheduling availability.
