Occupational Medicine Specialist Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting workers' health assessments and occupational exams. You will diagnose work-related illnesses and accidents, and identify and assess health risks present in the workplace.

This job involves performing medical history evaluations, occupational history assessments, clinical and laboratory tests, and evaluating professional demands and compliance with current legal requirements.

You will monitor work environment factors and work practices that may affect workers' health, including sanitary facilities, canteens/restaurants, and living areas. You will also provide advice on the planning and organization of work, including on the design of workplaces, the choice, maintenance, condition, and material used in the work.

The ideal candidate will have a specialization in Occupational Medicine and be registered in the RQE - Registration of Qualification by Specialty. Experience working in the industry is desirable but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workers' Health Assessments: Conduct medical history evaluations, occupational history assessments, clinical and laboratory tests, and evaluate professional demands and compliance with current legal requirements.
  • Disease Diagnosis: Diagnose work-related illnesses and accidents, including arrangements for physical and professional rehabilitation.
  • Health Risk Assessment: Identify and assess health risks present in the workplace arising from the work process and forms of work organization and the main consequences or harm to workers' health.
  • Work Environment Monitoring: Monitor work environment factors and work practices that may affect workers' health, including sanitary facilities, canteens/restaurants, and living areas.
  • Work Planning and Organization: Provide advice on the planning and organization of work, including on the design of workplaces, the choice, maintenance, condition, and material used in the work.
Requirements:
  • Mandatory
    • Specialization in Occupational Medicine.
    • Registered in the RQE - Registration of Qualification by Specialty.
    • Registered in the CRM.
  • Desirable
    • Experience working in the industry.
    • 1 year of work experience.
    • Knowledge of the SOC system.
