Job Title: Perinatal Sonographer-2

Job Overview

This role contributes to the overall strategic success by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, fostering exceptional patient care and delivering impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sonographic examinations as ordered by physicians, including fetal exams and invasive procedures, maintaining utmost precision and accuracy.
  • Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies, enhancing patient understanding and clinical decision-making.
  • Meet examination components as defined by Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division protocols and guidelines, ensuring seamless coordination with healthcare teams.
  • Greet patients, explain procedures, and support them in a compassionate manner, promoting positive interactions and trust.
  • Verify accuracy of ultrasound requisitions and interview patients to gather relevant history, minimizing errors and improving care delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent educational background, demonstrating expertise in sonographic principles and practices.
  • Current registration (or Registry-eligible) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology, showcasing professional credentials and commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Prefer one-year prior OB experience or recent internship in obstetrics or MFM clinic, highlighting transferable skills and adaptability.
