Perinatal Sonographer Job Summary

This position is available for a skilled Perinatal Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services to patients, working closely with healthcare teams and physicians.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by attending physicians.
  • Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies.
  • Meet examination components as defined by Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, department procedures, established protocols and AIUM's examination guidelines.
  • Greet patients and guests, explain ultrasound procedures, prepare patients for appropriate examination according to department policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Require successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent educational background.
  • Current registration (or Registry-eligible) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Prefer one-year prior OB experience or recent internship in obstetrics or MFM clinic.
  • Basic Life Support and CPR certification are preferred.
