International Tax Specialist

  • Overview:
  • The Global Tax Team is looking for a skilled International Tax Specialist to join our team in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Responsibilities:

">
  1. Manage the Group's tax position in Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia etc.),
  2. Track relevant changes in tax legislation that may impact the Group's business in the region and assess their influence,
  3. Communicate with consultants in countries where the Group operates,
  4. Participate in tax structuring of international operations and tax risk management,
  5. Participate in the development of operational structures and assessment of tax risks associated with conducting business in foreign countries,
  6. Set up the process of tax reporting and payment of taxes in countries where the Group operates,
  7. Participate in tax structuring of international non-commercial/charity projects of the Group,
  8. Establish and control processes related to the issuance of invoices and automatic exchange of fiscal data with local fiscal authorities,
  9. Supervise the development of tax accounting methodologies,
  10. Participate in analysis of tax aspects of significant commercial, technical, and other projects of the Group in countries of its presence,
  11. Tax review of international operations, as well as contracts and policies,
  12. Participate in development of procedures to improve the Group's tax efficiency and tax risk management,
  13. Supervise communications with tax authorities, form the company's legal position, prepare responses and documentation related to tax requests, and analyze documents required to defend the company's position,
  14. Interact with the company's business units in implementation of the Group's projects

Requirements:

  • Higher education in finance, economics, and law,
  • 5+ years of work experience in tax consulting/tax compliance or in the tax department of an international company, experience at the Big4 is a must,
  • Understanding of tax reporting principles in LatAm regions (specific focus on Mexico, Brazil, Chile, etc),
  • Understanding of principles and trends of international taxation and tax planning (transfer pricing, international tax treaties, EU directives, OECD initiatives, BEPS plan, Pillar 1&2 etc.),
  • Experience in field of international taxation (Latin America, US, Southeast Asia (SEA), India, etc.) is a significant advantage,
  • Management and analytical skills,
  • Proficient in English (Advanced level)
