A leading technology firm is seeking an experienced Staff-level professional with strong Python or Rust coding expertise. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a skilled team to evolve the instant-quote product and underlying technology platform.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy software solutions that meet stringent requirements.
  • Review and write code in multiple programming languages, including Python, Rust, and React.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and product managers within a cross-functional team to drive innovation.
  • Manage operational aspects of services, including deployment in AWS and Kubernetes, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Support personal growth in a dynamic environment with opportunities for continuous learning.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a fast-paced technical environment as a software developer. Strong English communication skills are essential, both written and spoken. A solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals is required, along with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM web programming.

Experience with at least two of Python, Rust, and React is necessary. Familiarity with build and testing tools such as Git/Github actions or GitLab is also expected. Understanding of security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions in software engineering is crucial.

The successful candidate will have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including normalization, constraints, transactions, replication, and sharding. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, multitasking ability, and good communication skills are also essential.
