About the Role

We are seeking an Energy Sector Commercial Specialist to join our Marketing, Midstream & Processing (MMP) team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing step-out strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your typical assignments will include:

  • External analysis: monitoring energy markets, macroeconomics, geopolitics, competitors, industry trends, policy, and regulations
  • Trading: commodity trading, algorithmic trading, chartering, risk management, and business development in energy markets
  • Energy logistics: commercial operations, contract management, value chain improvements, and digitalization
  • Asset and commodity optimization: asset management, production optimization, and portfolio management
  • Project roles in Nature-Based Solutions, such as originating carbon credits for our portfolio

You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced leaders and contribute to achieving the unit's ambition of developing a Brazil market position to capture value and secure flow assurance of our upstream portfolio.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's, Master's degree, or PhD in Production Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Energy Management, Data Science, Data Management, or International Business
  • Completed degree by 2024
  • No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience
  • Formal experience is not required
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Eligibility to have CREA for engineering educations by August 2024
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage

You should also possess:

  • A strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to work under deadlines
  • Knowledge/experience within the energy sector is an advantage
  • Good competence working with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is an advantage
