Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Dining Services team as a Utility Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating collaboration between the kitchen and wait staff, setting tables, serving food, removing used dishes and utensils, operating the dish machine, washing pots and pans, sweeping, mopping, and general kitchen duties.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school students or individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Setting tables and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment
  • Serving food and beverages to residents and guests
  • Removing used dishes and utensils and loading them into the dish machine
  • Operating the dish machine and washing pots and pans
  • Sweeping and mopping floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Hygiene and Food Safety:
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules and regulations
  • Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability:
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Communication Skills:
  • Good oral communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
