This is a key and senior role within the Credit Risk function, responsible for the underwriting, oversight, and reporting of Credit Risk exposure and performance of the country subsidiary entity. The ideal candidate will complement Ebury's analytical and statistical capabilities with their own country-specific hands-on knowledge of the local market.
Your Responsibilities- Support and report to the Senior Credit Risk Management Team;
- Monitor and report portfolio performance to the Board and Risk Management Office;
- Liaise with local regulatory authorities as necessary;
- Perform detailed credit analysis of prospects and clients for trade finance and currency trading products;
- Approve exposure limits to individual clients up to delegated authority;
- Present and defend analysis at credit committee meetings to senior management;
- Engage with Front Office and Onboarding/Compliance teams for a smooth client experience;
- Manage an existing portfolio of clients, monitoring credit standing and risk versus reward;
- Assist with collections process for overdue payments and communicate decisions;
- Proactively manage your pipeline and ensure team SLAs are met;
- Liaise with analysts and managers across geographies to add insight or assist;
- Share thoughts to improve processes and upskill other analysts.
We're looking for a candidate with a background in credit underwriting, preferably in the SME space, or experience in financial analysis in the Brazil market. You should have exposure to collections processes, a clear communication style, and experience dealing directly with clients. A strong understanding of Brazil accountancy principles and FX markets is also essential.
