Embedded Linux Senior Software Engineer

Our team is looking for a seasoned Embedded Linux Senior Software Engineer to spearhead the optimization of our Ubuntu platform. As a key member, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing cutting-edge Ubuntu integration on the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.

  • Drive the design and implementation of best-in-class Ubuntu integration across various hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Collaborate with partners to deliver exceptional, tailored Ubuntu experiences that meet their unique needs.
  • Take a holistic approach to Ubuntu experience development, providing inputs on technical strategies, testing methodologies, and quality metrics.
  • Lead complex customer engagements involving comprehensive system architectures from cloud to edge.
  • Help customers integrate their applications, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize apps with Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.
  • Work at the forefront of operating systems and application technologies in the enterprise world.

Requirements:

  • A passion for technology and collaboration with talented individuals.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related fields.
  • Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).
  • Proficiency in working with open source communities and licenses.
  • Strong C, C++ skills.
  • Ability to thrive in globally distributed teams through self-discipline and motivation.
