A Research and Development Specialist is required to develop research projects on mineral processing for raw materials plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop research projects on mineral processing for raw materials plants
  • Manage research projects to assess recycling processing technologies
  • Coordinate partnerships with start-ups and universities across the globe
  • Identify opportunities for technology developments by visits, interdepartmental discussions and literature search
  • Definition and management of scope, tasks and schedule for project portfolio
  • Set-up, management and analysis of lab and field trials
  • Autonomy to make technical decisions and pivot on project development
  • Close collaboration within a global team and related departments

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor in chemical, metallurgy or mining engineering with focus on Mineral Processing
  • Professional experience in research or process development for mining operations
  • Master or Doctorate in Mineral Processing is an advantage
  • Ability to manage projects independently taking care over a portfolio
  • Fluent English and Portuguese
  • Intercultural work experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge on innovation methods is an advantage
  • Experience working on mineral processing plants is an advantage
