Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned AI/ML Engineer to join our backend development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) models for search across large-scale medical and scientific documents. This involves pre-processing and embedding over half a billion documents to ensure they are searchable and contextually accurate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop RAG models for search functionality in medical and scientific contexts.
  • Implement data pre-processing and embedding strategies for optimal search results.
  • Develop and refine semantic chunking techniques to enhance search accuracy.
  • Fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) for textual RAG use cases.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for non-prod environment deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience as a Search Engineer or AI Engineer.
  • Proven expertise in search technology, including OpenSearch and scalable search systems.
  • Strong Python development skills, with experience in API creation, model training, testing, and backend programming.
  • Familiarity with LangChain for building LLM workflows using tools, memory, and retrieval.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and provide clear updates to the team.
