Job Overview

The role of the Process Operator plays a vital part in ensuring safe and efficient offshore facility operations. A strong foundation in technical knowledge and excellent communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process:
    Start up, operate, monitor, shut down processes and utility systems
    Monitor, maintain, optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure) within operating requirements
    Troubleshoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume to identify problems
    Maintain discharge water quality according to current guidelines
    Monitor and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety, emergency shutdown devices, Fire and Gas Systems
    Submit accurate production reports daily or as required by the company and client
    Witness third-party calibrations when necessary to provide verification of meter factors and volumes
    Prove export oil meters
  2. Marine/Safety:
    Implement and enforce policies and procedures in particular Isolation Standards, PTW
    Carry out all operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner
    Report all discharges, leaks, spills, injuries, incidents immediately
    Ensure personnel understands and complies with current environmental regulations
    Carry out Emergency Response role
  3. Maintenance:
    Assist maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required
    Supervise PTW system operation
    Advise maintenance personnel on hazards of plant equipment
    Maintain clear and precise communications during maintenance operations
  4. Manage & Supervise Effectively:
    Coordinate activities and resources across teams shifts
    Contribute to training assessment of personnel
    Control activities development of subordinate personnel
    Record report on personnel development/appraisals competence assessments as required
    Efficiency improvement pursue company goals
    Create effective working relationships
Requirements:
  • 4 years minimum hydrocarbon processing operations experience 1 year as CCRO appropriate mix operational supervisory experience
  • Offshore Personal Survival Management of Major Emergencies Medical certificates
  • Good level troubleshooting operations knowledge interpretation P&IDs C&E charts
  • Extensive knowledge offshore FPSO operations Production Maintenance Engineering Safety
  • Working knowledge DCS F&G systems operation
  • Medically fit offshore International standards ENG1 equivalent
  • Personal Skills: Conscientious flexible versatile determined Capable assertive positive communication performance
