Leading Energy Portfolio Developer

As a seasoned underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in developing the power and utilities portfolio within Brazil.
About the Role- This senior position involves strategically growing the business, analyzing complex energy risks, building key partnerships with brokers and clients, collaborating across teams to identify cross-selling opportunities, participating in high-profile projects, and maintaining meticulous documentation and effective communication.
- Develop and execute business strategies to grow the Power & Utilities portfolio.
- Analyze coverage, exposures, wordings, premiums, and insurability of complex energy risks (oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals, pipelines, mines, power plants).
- Build and maintain key partnerships with brokers and clients to ensure seamless documentation and business growth.
- Collaborate across teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and drive revenue.
- Participate in high-profile projects and contribute to team operations.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Property Energy Underwriting, coupled with a genuine passion for the energy insurance sector.
- Deep understanding of primary exposures and specificities across energy segments, including onshore energy, mining, and power & utilities, with exceptional analytical skills to evaluate intricate cases.
- Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and negotiation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to assist colleagues.
- Highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to convert customer needs into successful deals.
