Product Analyst Job Description

This position is responsible for developing tools necessary to analyze and manage personal lines insurance products, including auto, home, and umbrella insurance. The candidate must have in-depth understanding of personal lines products and rating structures, historical rate changes, and state-specific information.

  • Develop and manage tools to build and manage personal lines auto, home, and umbrella off-balance builds
  • Understand personal lines insurance, company products, rate revision processes, and tools in great detail
  • Produce tools incorporating indications, in-force, and retention trends to adjust base rates and achieve specific rate levels for each state and product
  • Determine the quality of data and flag defects and discrepancies for data solutions
  • Troubleshoot and fix errors in the tools
  • Document changes and adjustments to tools and processes
  • Monitor and manage deadlines and deliverables
  • Communicate with various teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of rate change strategies, correct tool usage, and timely delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in the field
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong background in data analytics, mathematics, and statistics
  • Excellent technical skills, particularly in Excel and SQL
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
