Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics and Machine Learning

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the University of Campinas. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on Time Series, Wavelets, and High Dimensional Data, with a strong emphasis on Bayesian modeling and inference.

Research Areas:

  • Bayesian modeling of multi-variate integer-valued autoregressive processes
  • Robust volatility estimation for high-dimensional data
  • Selective inference for high-dimensional data
  • Variational inference for clustering and variable selection in functional regression

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Bayesian models for time series and high-dimensional data
  • Analyze and interpret results from simulations and real-world data
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement new methods for data analysis
  • Communicate research findings through publications and presentations

Requirements:

  • PhD in Statistics or a related field
  • Strong background in Bayesian modeling and inference
  • Experience with high-dimensional data analysis and machine learning
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What We Offer:
