About Us

This role involves credit analysis of a portfolio of issuers within the Corporate Finance Group. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to our credit analysis function and support the rating process.


Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Associate in Corporate Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preliminary credit analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach, and presentations. This will involve quantitative assessment of financial documents, asset performance, and economic/market data, as well as qualitative assessments of business strategy, financial policy, governance, and other factors.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial markets and instruments, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


Responsibilities
  • Perform preliminary credit analysis to support ratings, research, analytical outreach, and presentations.
  • Quantitative assessment of financial documents, asset performance, and economic/market data.
  • Qualitative assessments of business strategy, financial policy, governance, and other factors.
  • Analyze bond indentures and other legal documents.
  • Prepare financial spreadsheets and charts, analyze data, build and update financial models and analytical tools.
  • Write analytical commentary in accordance with Moody's methodologies.

Requirements
  • Minimum undergraduate/first level degree in economics, accounting, engineering, business administration, statistics, actuarial science, or similar.
  • 1-2 years of validated experience (including internship).
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven English, spoken, and written communication.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

About Our Team

You will work as part of a team with other Associates and Analysts under the supervision of the direct manager. Participation in external meetings with issuers, financial advisors, and other intermediaries is required.
