TEAM OVERVIEW: A successful product is backed by a dedicated team that ensures quality and prevents bugs from reaching users. Our QA Engineers play a crucial role in maintaining high standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Bugs are a natural occurrence, but our goal is to identify and resolve them early in the process.

As a QA Engineer at Trustly, you will leverage advanced testing tools to evaluate our code comprehensively, ensuring it performs reliably under pressure and meets user expectations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and implementing test plans to validate new features and bug fixes from the development team;
  • Developing automated test cases for both backend and frontend applications;
  • Identifying and proposing new test cases for automation based on regression issues;
  • Researching and recommending improvements in quality assurance practices and testing tools;
  • Actively participating in sprint planning and scrum meetings;
  • Collaborating closely with development teams and product management to enhance existing products;
  • Upholding standards for reliability and performance in production environments.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field;
  • Proficient in automation, with experience in API testing, performance testing, and database management;
  • Relevant experience in quality assurance beyond just testing;
  • Familiarity with large software systems using Java, JavaScript, or .Net;
  • Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies, including daily stand-ups and test-driven development;
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Selenium;
  • Understanding of object-oriented development principles;
  • Proficient in SQL;
  • Familiar with Gitflow processes;
  • Experience in business process documentation and training;
  • Strong communication skills in English;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • A collaborative team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo;
  • Experience with JMeter and other performance testing tools;
  • Quality-focused and process-oriented mindset.
