About the Role

Air Liquide is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Communications Director to support our operations in LATAM Cluster, including BSC operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing a cohesive communications strategy to reflect employer branding, leaders management, social media, media, and ensuring consistent and effective messaging across various platforms for these three markets.
  • Managing media relations, crisis management, and preemptive planning to maintain a positive company image.
  • Implementing social media strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Leading company events and managing external communications output.
  • Providing strategic advice to the business lines leadership teams for all the countries on internal and external communications, brand and reputation matters.
  • Leading or supporting the roll out of strategic business initiatives for all the countries, including public and business presentations, communications on key projects, investments, acquisitions, employee meetings, new product/service launches, community relations, etc.
  • Managing communications with pertinent internal stakeholders for all the countries, including management, business development, HR, IT, the BSC, and business partners to ensure effective communications, coordination, and messaging.
  • Ensuring planning and execution of internal communications for the business lines and geographies, including organizational changes, organizational notices, change management, etc.
  • Supporting reputation management and business public speaking opportunities, including social media opportunities, trade shows, conferences, panels, etc.
  • Supporting all the countries with any communication needs, including overseeing press releases, events, branding for product development and campaigns, presentation for public use, brochures, video, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in communications or marketing or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in writing communications for corporations, agencies, and organizations, including speeches, reports, articles, brochures, websites.
  • Working knowledge of Google platform (Google+ Communities, Gmail, Drive, etc.).
  • Strong skills in project and event management.
  • Familiarity with publishing, web, and social media tools/platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of grammar and style and familiarity with AP Stylebook.
  • Spanish and English required, with Portuguese also required.
  • Project management and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
  • Comfort with managing multiple, aggressive deadlines.
