Lead Software Developer – Train Management

You will play a pivotal role in the development of the Locomotive Control System as a Lead Engineer/Technologist.
Execute projects from follow-on orders through new product developments, ensuring proper definition of requirements and interfaces for Locomotive Control Systems.
Design, integrate, and validate Train Control subsystem functions for locomotives suitable for application in both English and non-English speaking environments. Investigate root-cause identification and resolution of reliability issues.
This is an opportunity to make a difference in the transportation industry.
Your Responsibilities- Work with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, and industry agencies to identify and capture requirements for controls design and implementation.
- Design, integrate, and validate Train Control subsystem functions for locomotives.
- Investigate root-cause identification and resolution of reliability issues.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in an engineering position.
- Experience with controls/software design, diagnostics, and test.
- Ability and willingness to work "hands-on" in test labs and on locomotives with high HP (1000 KVA), medium voltage (2 KV) and high current (10 KA) systems.
- Strong English technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink or other Modeling tools preferred.
