Job Title: Advanced Research Associate

The Department of Dermatology at a leading academic institution is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in translational immunology, with a focus on investigating the immunopathological contributions to dermatologic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic and molecular laboratory techniques, including cell culture, protein and nucleic acid isolation, western blot analysis, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
  • Investigate the role of immune cells in Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) using a range of research methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and next-generation sequencing/metagenomics
  • Develop and implement effective experimental designs to investigate the pathophysiology of HS and other dermatologic diseases
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for data collection, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
  • Prepare and present research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at scientific conferences

Requirements:

  • MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement effective experimental designs
  • Experience with basic and molecular laboratory techniques, including cell culture, protein and nucleic acid isolation, and western blot analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment
