Job DescriptionThis position requires strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills while having the ability to articulate complex project requirements to both internal teams and customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe network engineer will work closely with regional sales & account management teams, infrastructure engineers, NOC engineers and project managers to assess requirements and design and deploy network solutions.
- Support internal and customer delivery projects;
- Become a subject matter expert on supported products and services;
- Work closely with project management team to increase quality of project deliveries to clients;
- Provide training, knowledge transfer and ongoing support to global team;
- Provide detailed documentation on all projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 8+ years of experience in a network environment supporting a global IP network within financial services.
- Direct experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, and Arista routers and switches in a high bandwidth and ultra-low latency production environment.
- Multiple protocol troubleshooting experience (MPSL, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT).
- Experience with multiple hardware interfaces 1/10/25/40GBASE Ethernet.
- IP multicast and FIX order routing troubleshooting experience.
- 8+ years of experience supporting managed hosting / server environments.
- Experience and familiarity with vendor case management and escalation process for Cisco, Arista, and Juniper.
- Solid written and verbal skills with Ability to create and maintain technical design and support documentation.
- Direct customer service experience required.
- Flexibility around working hours in support of business requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- CCNP or CCIE.
- JNCIP or JNCIE.
Ideally you will also possess:
- BS in Computer science, Telecommunication, or technical field.
- Experience troubleshooting Multicast and Managed Hosting in Financial Trading industry.
- Understanding of network management, security, and monitoring.
