Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Water Engineer to lead our water projects and mentor junior staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with 7+ years of experience in planning, design, and construction administration for water process, treatment, and distribution projects.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, leadership, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. They will be responsible for leading and managing projects involving drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, providing project management and design assistance, and overseeing new user plan submissions for municipal clients.

The selected individual will also prepare technical reports, design documents, and engineering studies, track financial aspects of projects, and ensure budgets and schedules are met. They will coordinate workload and mentor junior engineering staff, oversee construction administration and compliance with regulatory requirements, and participate in client meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience in water process, treatment, and distribution projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project (MS Access a plus).
