Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our operations teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of water treatment projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment operations, with experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. You will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.

  • Support HDR project leaders on water treatment projects requiring input from Operations Specialists.
  • Review drawings for operability review and HazOps analysis.
  • Manage operations and maintenance projects with municipal and industrial clients.
  • Develop startup and commissioning plans.
  • Perform startup and commissioning of new water treatment facilities.
  • Provide training to clients' treatment plants.
  • Participate in testing facilities to ensure they are ready for startup.
  • Perform condition assessment and asset management tasks on water and wastewater facilities.

Work will involve a base of projects in the southern portion of the central United States, but will also include projects in several sites across the country.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years field experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment at water treatment facilities and/or resolving water treatment process problems.
  • High level water treatment operator license or professional engineering license.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.
  • Microsoft Office product and computerized maintenance and management systems experience required.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
