Wati, a rapidly growing CPaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) company, is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a remote-first company, we prioritize adaptability and inclusivity, and our talented team spans the globe, working collaboratively to drive innovation and empower businesses through WhatsApp.

We are growing fast, and we need a seasoned professional to help drive channel acquisition and make our partners successful for the most loved SMB messaging collaboration tool.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in accelerating our partnerships across all markets, and have our product distributed to thousands of businesses globally. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and generating new partners.
  • Leading commercial negotiations and closing business deals.
  • Driving go-to-market activities by working with cross-functional teams internally to plan and launch partnerships.
  • Managing the partnership pipeline and ensuring timely internal and external reporting.
  • Managing existing portfolios of partners, including upselling, expanding the scope, and optimizing current partnerships.
  • Developing metrics to measure ROI from partnerships.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A can-do attitude and not be afraid of rejections.
  • The ability to zoom in and zoom out, executing well while thinking from a strategic perspective.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in partnership or sales, preferably in a tech or software company.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), energetic, and a team player.
  • Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment.
  • Prior experience in building a partnership program and a track record of successful technology partnerships.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is a must.
