Operations Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set operational objectives and performance indicators.
  • Manage manufacturing processes for storage products, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners, develop strategies to minimize costs and reduce lead times.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications, implement quality management systems and continuous improvement processes.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance cost control with product availability, develop forecasting models to anticipate inventory needs.
  • Manage operations staff including production, logistics, and warehouse teams, provide mentorship and training to develop team capabilities.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline operations, lead lean/six sigma initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintain appropriate documentation and certifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of operations experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or IT hardware production preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and operations management software.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, PMP, or CPIM is a plus.
