Accounting Leader Position

This senior-level role involves overseeing the accounting, tax, and finance functions across various countries. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with accounting agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive financial reports and analysis to support informed decision-making by management
  • Motivate and develop the management accounting team to take ownership of accounts input and preparation processes
  • Collaborate with other finance department managers to achieve overall department goals and objectives
  • Advise staff on non-routine reporting transactions and ensure timely and accurate data for internal and external reporting

Accounting Control

  • Maintain an internal control environment in compliance with corporate policy, anti-corruption controls, and SOX requirements
  • Review reconciliations of significant account balances, including bank accounts and fixed assets, debtors, and creditors, and report exceptions to management

Tax Expertise

  • Understand key concepts of tax returns in foreign jurisdictions where the company has a presence
  • Provide accurate information for tax compliance in local and foreign jurisdictions

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and assess the impact of company initiatives and projects
  • Manage and implement company initiatives and projects from a finance and accounting perspective
  • Identify and drive process and technology improvement opportunities
  • Solve ad-hoc requests and issues
  • Provides oversight, training, and coaching to department associates

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 12 years of experience in finance operations, risk control, or finance functions, with some experience at a management level. Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are required, as well as solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
