Job Title:

Senior Accounts Receivable Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable professional to support our financial operations with precision and expertise.

This role involves managing high-volume transactions, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and resolving discrepancies - all while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Management: Compile large amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, or owed to the company by customers or clients, and input figures to the accounting system.
  • Invoice Processing: Receive and distribute invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Payment Processing: Enter invoice amounts into the accounting system and process invoices or large payments.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile large amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records.
  • Customer Service: Respond to inquiries from customers or clients and research and resolve concerns or large discrepancies.
  • Document Collection: Collect missing transportation documents from carriers, i.e., CMR collection.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas for process improvement based on identified themes and an understanding of the big picture.
  • Relationship Building: Develop professional relationships with internal and external partners, maintain open lines of communication, and build rapport by providing timely and professional service.
  • Knowledge Development: Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert and advise Junior Roles on the best available resources' usage and help solve more complex issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Solid experience using accounting principles.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • System Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Oracle.
  • Work Environment: Ability to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective and flexible communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topics.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills.
