**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing predictive and prescriptive models of moderate complexity to surface insights, driving action, defining success measures, and tracking performance of models.

They will also drive the implementation of models to uncover patterns and predictions, creating business value and innovation.

The Data Scientist will partner with data engineering teams across multiple business lines to build data pipelines, improve data assets, quality, metrics, and insights.

They will create visualizations and other forms of communication that effectively showcase insights and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Data Scientist will lead a project team of data science professionals and provide guidance, training, and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

They will collaborate and communicate with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution.

The Data Scientist will represent the data science team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.

They will identify and recommend improvement upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model assumptions, and fine-tuning model parameters.

The Data Scientist will maintain proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts.

**Education & Experience Recommended**

A four-year or graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, data science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence is required.

Typically, the successful candidate will have 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in data analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

**Preferred Certifications**

Programming Language/s Certification (SQL, Python, or similar) is preferred.

**Knowledge & Skills**

Broad knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, or data mining is required.

Expertise with building robust systems based on machine learning techniques is essential.

A track record of work in Generative AI (LLMs, LVMs, LMMs) development and deployment is preferred.

Knowledge of cloud deployments on AWS/Azure is required.

Experience leveraging models from repositories such as Hugging Face is preferred.

Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow is required.

Excellent Software development skills with fast prototyping in Python are essential.

**Cross-Org Skills**

Effective Communication, Results Orientation, Learning Agility, Digital Fluency, and Customer Centricity are required.

**Impact & Scope**

The Data Scientist will impact multiple teams and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.

**Complexity**

The Data Scientist will respond to moderately complex issues within established guidelines.
