Surveyor Trainee

Join Mitang Brasil as a Surveyor Trainee and embark on a career path that combines technical expertise with hands-on experience in surveying and positioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation and verification of survey and positioning systems.
  • Assist with calibration of survey and positioning systems, including alongside calibrations.
  • Perform quality control dimensional control surveys.
  • Conduct observations of seawater parameters.
  • Understand ROV offsets.
  • Support the remote operation center - ROC.
  • Perform survey and positioning operations associated with the installation of subsea pipelines, umbilicals, and structures, platforms, and pile.
  • Assist with the preparation of survey reports.
  • Plan survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate online survey logs.
  • Act as Report Coordinator if required, producing field reports and memos.
  • Communicate effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
  • Participate in risk assessments and tool box talks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, engineering, oceanography, or electronic technology.
  • Survey offshore training completed from Seahouse Professional Institute.
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience in survey or technician-related disciplines.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard surveying and software.
  • Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and within an international team.
  • Fluent in English.
