Maintenance and Refrigeration Specialist

The Job Overview:

Responsibilities and Duties can include:

• Executing all Maintenance Technician I tasks including required paperwork, battery maintenance, general housekeeping, and upkeep.
• Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting expertise.
• Proficiency in welding.
• Preventative and regular maintenance on the HVAC system, doors, dock levelers, dock locks and plates, pallet racks, etc.
• Facility maintenance encompassing both inside and outside the facility.
• Powered industrial truck maintenance and repair.
• Refrigeration maintenance and repair.

What We Are Looking For:

• Education High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Continuing education in RETA and/or other industry specific courses preferred.
• Experience Proficient in building and equipment maintenance Minor to moderate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge Maintenance troubleshooting Minor to moderate welding knowledge.

Additional Abilities You Will Need to Possess:

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Lift up to 70 lbs occasionally, with assistance.
• Work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels.
• Lift overhead when required.
• May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication and hearing are essential for safety and productivity.
• Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment as required.
• Overtime availability is crucial due to demand.
• Operate a registered motor vehicle as part of daily tasks.
• Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
• Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
• Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
• Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.
• Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines.
